Schlupp makes 200th appearance as Palace unchanged

After Roy Hodgson selected an unchanged starting XI for Crystal Palace’s match against Arsenal, Jeffrey Schlupp will make his 200th appearance for the club in all competitions.

The Eagles’ manager has chosen to maintain the same lineup that secured a noteworthy 1-0 victory against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane last week.

This announcement represents a significant moment for Schlupp, as he achieves the milestone of 200 appearances in the red and blue colors of Palace. His association with Palace commenced in January 2017, when he transferred from Leicester City.

Assuming that Palace adheres to their current formation, Schlupp is anticipated to occupy the left flank of the attacking unit, offering support to Jordan Ayew and Odsonne Edouard.

In the defensive formation, Sam Johnstone will assume the role of goalkeeper, supported by a backline quartet consisting of Joel Ward, who is making his inaugural appearance as the club’s permanent captain, along with Joachim Andersen, Marc Guéhi, and Tyrick Mitchell.

In the midfield, Jefferson Lerma is on the verge of making his inaugural competitive home appearance for the Eagles. He will be collaborating with Cheick Doucouré, who was honored as the Player of the Season in the previous year, along with Ebere Eze, the England international, to establish a dynamic midfield partnership.
